Thundershirt – Not Just for Storms!

Does your dog suffer from anxiety because of separation, boarding, travel or noise? ThunderShirt is a terrific solution for most dogs. It is also an excellent training tool for bringing calm and focus back to your dog while on the leash or during other training. For most dogs, improvement is achieved with the very first usage. For some, two or three usages are needed before the desired results are achieved.

ThunderShirt uses gentle hugging to calm your dog or cat. With its patented design, ThunderShirt’s gentle, constant pressure has a dramatic calming effect for most dogs and cats if they are anxious, fearful or overexcited. Based on surveys completed by over two thousand customers, over 80% of dogs and cats show significant improvement in symptoms when using ThunderShirt. It is already helping hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats around the world and is recommended by thousands of veterinarians and trainers.

How does ThunderShirt work? Experts believe that the pressure has a calming effect on the nervous system, possibly by releasing a calming hormone like endorphins. Using pressure to relieve anxiety in people and animals has been a common practice for years. Thousands of veterinarians and trainers across the country are recommending Thundershirts as an effective anxiety treatment for dogs.

Breed of the Month – French Bulldog

“Frenchies” are playful and affectionate. Their loyal, loving nature makes them wonderful companion dogs. French Bulldogs can be a challenge to train due to their willful, stubborn nature. They require patience, repetition and early socialization. The French Bulldog rarely barks and if he does it’s often to draw attention, to point out that he needs something or just because he is not happy. Due to the fact that they are a brachycephalic breed (short-muzzled dog), they can easily overheat and their folds need to be cleaned to prevent infection.

This breed is patient and affectionate with its owners, especially with children. French Bulldogs can easily live with other breeds when the proper introductions are done. If you’re looking for a big personality in a little package, the Frenchie is the breed for you!
